This is a project completed in my first semester of college, which I am extremely proud of.

I took a class called Health in the City, an honors seminar taught by the former Boston (and later, Massachusetts) health commissioner, John Auerbach, which opened my eyes to socioeconomic issues that create health disparities in the urban setting.

In this research paper and field work, we walked around four Boston communities, surveying each neighborhood for markers of poverty and crime. From there, we mapped these markers of urban violence and suggested health interventions to speculate areas of stress for these communities.
